Maybe it’s the extraordinary landscape. Maybe it’s our friendly maritime hospitality. Or maybe it’s our easy-going pace. Whatever it is, the Maritime provinces are home of some of the most scenic routes you can imagine. Whether on the open highway or the road less travelled, we were made for road trips. Travel along coastal routes, forested drives, rolling farmlands, or vibrant cityscapes. After all, it’s not just about the destination. We’re all about the journey, too.

Nova Scotia is covered by eleven touring routes. Choose the dramatic cliffs of the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, the coastal beauty and historic charm of the South Shore’s Lighthouse Route, the Evangeline Trail that parallels the Fundy coast, home of the world’s highest tides and fertile farmlands, or the warm, welcoming waters of the Sunrise Trail, to name but a few.

Explore Prince Edward Island with one of three (or all!) coastal drives to explore the Island’s diverse landscape, spectacular views, and rich history. The North Cape Coastal Drive is brimming with Mi’kmaq culture, Acadian music, and the Wind Energy Interpretive Centre. The Central Coastal Drive includes bustling Cavendish, classic fishing ports, and lobster suppers galore. And the Points East Coastal Drive features an unforgettable dune system the bayside community of St. Peters, and of course, stunning beaches. When all else fails, following the coastline is always a safe bet.
