Northumberland Ferries Sailing Schedule

Enjoy a 75-minute ferry crossing between Caribou, Nova Scotia and Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island.

Passengers are advised to check-in at least 40 minutes before departure to allow time for the additional screening procedures implemented for everyone’s safety.

Walk-on passengers may check-in 30 minutes before departure.

Fare Notice

Please note that one-way travel from Caribou, Nova Scotia to Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island is available at no fee on a first come, first served basis, however spaces cannot be guaranteed without a reservation. Travellers who wish to book a one-way reservation from Caribou, Nova Scotia will be subject to a fee of $84. One-way bookings from Caribou may later be converted to round-trip bookings should travellers decide to exit Prince Edward Island via ferry. Travellers departing Prince Edward Island via the Confederation Bridge will be responsible for paying the Confederation Bridge toll.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations may be modified or cancelled for a full refund prior to the scheduled departure. Refunds are not available once checked-in for departure or once the first leg of a round-trip voyage is taken. Please note that a one-way reservation from Caribou, Nova Scotia, may later be converted to a round-trip reservation should travellers decide to exit Prince Edward Island via ferry.

Customers with reservations should arrive at the ferry terminal 40 minutes prior to departure. Customers without reservations should arrive 1 hour prior to departure. Boarding is not guaranteed for those travelling without a reservation.
